Who Has Your Ear?

Life is determined by the advice we heed.

Listen to the wrong voice and sorrow is certain to follow. Ignore the right voice and despair is certain to come. Follow the right advice and success is almost guaranteed.

The great question of life is not whether we will live by the advice of others. The great question of life is to whose advice we will listen.

No decision is made that is unbiased from outside influences. Whether conscious or unconscious, every decision we make has been guided by external sources.

The main challenge of life is not figuring out what to do, but figuring out to whom we will listen.

Life is so often determined by the advice we heed.

“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding…then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2.1-2,5

Thanks for the little reminders that help me.
