Exhausted is not the same as productive.

The idea

There is what you control, what you influence, and what you can only care about. Confuse the three and you will work constantly and finish nothing.

Worry is almost always the sign that you have wandered into somebody else’s lane. So is most of the resentment. So is a fair amount of the conflict.

This is a simple, repeatable process for sorting it — so the energy goes where it can actually do something, and the rest gets handed back to the person it belongs to.

Inside the book

What you will actually get

  • Three lanes

Control, influence, concern — and how to tell them apart in a real situation.

  • Why worry sticks

The specific reasons we keep picking up what is not ours.

  • Love more

Staying in your lane is not detachment. It is what makes real help possible.

  • Get things done

What becomes achievable once the false obligations are off the list.
